Hi you,
Sometimes you only realise how much freedom something gives you when you’ve had to do without it for a while.
That’s been very literal for me these past months. I can finally drive myself again. Three mornings a week, I’m back at the bakery. After that, my energy is truly gone — so I listen to that. But being able to grab my keys and just go. Not depending on anyone. Just driving myself. That feels like freedom. And I think that’s also one of the reasons I’ve been an entrepreneur for 16 years ;).
Maybe you recognise that feeling. Wanting to build something yourself. To decide for yourself. Not waiting for someone else to fix things for you.
I started my business when I was 23. I’m 39 now. For me, entrepreneurship has never just been about work. It has always been about creating my own rhythm. Trying ideas immediately. Building something beautiful that feels aligned with who I am — and with what you might want to celebrate.
After Valentine’s Day, the bakery definitely didn’t slow down. While finishing those orders, we were already preparing for what’s coming next.
International Women’s Day.
And I’m curious — do you celebrate it? At work? With friends? Or maybe you don’t really think about it at all?
For me, March 8 is a moment to consciously celebrate women. Strength. Ambition. Softness. Perseverance. All at once.
We’re working on new designs especially for that day. Everything designed by us. Handcrafted by us. With care. This year, you’ll notice something new in the collection: soft pink edible roses. Subtle, yet powerful. To me, they symbolise connection. Holding each other up. Small details that together make something meaningful.
You can already explore the International Women’s Day collection here.
And while we’re building towards March 8, something else is happening behind the scenes. We’re growing. Literally. We’re in the process of expanding — more rooms, more space, more possibilities. It’s almost final. I can’t wait to share more with you soon.
Until then, I’m building step by step. Three mornings a week at the bakery. The rest of the time working behind the scenes. My body still asking for rest, but my mind full of new ideas.
I’m heading back to the preparations for March 8 now.
Love,
Faryel
