Hi you,
This weather! First it suddenly felt like full-on summer — and now it’s turned a bit rainy again. And honestly? I kind of like it. A little breathing space. A little less of that “everything has to happen NOW” feeling.
I’m in that same phase myself, because I’ve been putting the final touches on my rebrand. We’re really so far now. And if you’re coming by the bakery soon to pick up your order, you’ll see it straight away: we have beautiful new stickers on all the windows.
So when you’re here… take a look. Really take a look.
And then you can tell me how beautiful you think it is.
And yes, I’ll say it upfront: preferably only positive feedback ;). Or constructive. That’s allowed too.
And yes — lately I’ve been very busy celebrating 15 years of Amsterdam Cupcake Company. You’ve probably noticed if you’ve been reading my updates. Not only because a new look is coming, but also because I suddenly catch myself thinking much more often: wow, what has happened in these fifteen years?
What have I achieved?
What have I made?
Who have I worked with?
How many times have I reinvented myself without even realising it?
Normally you just keep going so easily. Orders, planning, production, the next deadline — and before you know it, another month has passed. And you almost never pause to look at everything you’ve already done.
So this past weekend I really took a moment to celebrate, with people I know, with friends, and with my team — and it was so much fun, so lovely — and afterwards I genuinely felt it again: yes, we did this, we built this, we truly achieved this.
And that’s what I wish for you, too. That you sometimes pause and notice everything you carry and do. And that you give yourself a small “well done” moment every now and then — even, or maybe especially, when it doesn’t feel like something big.
And that is exactly what Amsterdam Cupcake Company does. Making sure you celebrate those moments. The big ones, but also the small ones you might otherwise rush past. The ones that make your day just a little bit brighter.
And now I want to pitch something to you, and I honestly love saying it like this: for a while now we’ve added something new to what we do in the bakery — granola production.
It’s not my own brand, but I do make it here — and truly artisan, the way you’re used to from me. So not the kind of granola you buy in the supermarket, but a luxe, crunchy granola in different flavours, with those beautiful clusters you keep wanting to taste again.
All the granola I offer from Naturally Granola is completely vegan (no animal products) and no gluten-containing ingredients are used — so if that makes you happy, this is a really lovely one to try.
And I want to share one more little thing — I know, it’s quite a lot of information, but June is also simply full of fun moments to celebrate. Including: the World Cup.
I made a collection for it that I personally really love, because you can personalise it: in the webshop you can choose the country (or countries) you want to celebrate. It doesn’t have to be the Netherlands. It can be exactly what fits you.
And because I know not everyone is into the World Cup (I get it), there’s more going on too. It’s Pride Month, there are more holidays coming up, and I’ve made collections for all of them. So if you’re thinking, “Far, cute, but I’m celebrating something else” — definitely take a look at the holiday collections.
Love,
Faryel
