Hi you,
Last time I told you that I had received new keys.
A few weeks have passed since then — and the space now has a name:
The Warehouse.
Not very glamorous, maybe. But exactly what it is.
A place where most of our stock now lives. Boxes, packaging, decorations — all the things that slowly started taking over the bakery. And… there’s a desk.
A really nice one.
I’m actually sitting there now while writing this to you. In complete quiet. No mixers, no ovens in the background — while in the bakery everything is running as usual.
And I’ve realised how much I needed that.
That contrast.
But to be honest — it’s not “finished” yet.
Not even close.
It’s still a bit of a mess.
While moving everything, I realised how many things I’ve been holding onto with the thought: you never know. And now there’s still a whole storage cabinet waiting for me to go through. Decide what stays. What goes. What no longer fits.
And in a way, that feels exactly like where I am right now. Not just physically, but in my business too.
In the beginning, it was actually quite frustrating. I couldn’t do much myself yet (thanks to that very “lovely” ski accident…). So I had to rely on others. On deliveries. On people helping me carry things, assemble things. Everything moved slower than I’m used to.
Maybe you recognise that feeling — when you’re building something, but the pace isn’t entirely in your control.
But slowly, that’s changing.
The other day I drove to Ikea by myself again. Click & collect, yes. But still. Going there. Picking things up. Driving back. Assembling furniture in The Warehouse.
It felt like a small win.
Just like the moments I’ve been finding outside lately.
I’ve really been diving into my birdwatching course — I don’t know if you remember, but I mentioned it in my update at the end of January. And right now, it’s the season of meadow birds here in North Holland, where I live.
Almost every day, I drive to one of my little spots where I can sit in the car and watch through my binoculars.
A spoonbill. An avocet.
Small moments, but I enjoy them so much.
And afterwards — honestly — I’ll often eat a cupcake I brought with me. Just because I can. Because that, too, is a moment.
And maybe that’s what everything keeps coming back to.
Allowing yourself to celebrate moments.
Big or small.
Which naturally brings me to Easter.
Spring. New energy. Being together. Pausing for a moment, or looking ahead.
For Easter, we created a collection that reflects that feeling. Soft, fresh, with light colours and details that add just a little something extra to your table.
You can explore the Easter cupcakes, cake pops and cakes here.
Because everything is made in small batches, we prepare a limited number of orders each day.
Whether you’re having brunch together, bringing something along, or simply creating a small moment for yourself — something sweet can add that final touch.
I’ll be heading back to The Warehouse now. Between boxes, ideas, and everything that still needs to take shape.
And quietly enjoying the fact that we’re here.

Love,
Faryel
