The ovens are taking a break, the piping bags can rest for a moment…
Because summer is calling. And I’m ready. 🌿
The three of us are going away for a little while — no ovens, no baking schedules, no notifications. Just being together.
Evy turns six on August 10 (our little bright sunbeam ☀️), and we’re celebrating in a magical spot.
We’ve already received so many sweet cards — from followers, loyal customers, and even a few familiar names from the baking world — it already feels like a celebration.
And yes, I’ll be hunting down a local cupcake shop there. Because what’s a birthday without cupcakes? Not in my baking universe. 🧁
But summer, to me, is more than vacation.
It’s a moment of stillness — and of momentum.
I take this time to reflect: Did we sell as many cupcakes as I’d hoped? Did Mother’s Day hit the mark? Was Pride warm and visible enough?
I revise: Is the planning still working? Does the rhythm feel right?
And I dream: What will the second half of the year bring? How can I surprise you with Halloween, Sinterklaas, Thanksgiving, and Christmas?
